Now that you have had a tester of Tackers Sailing and would like to attend a Tackers Sailing Course, click onto the link below to register. All sailors start in Tackers 1 course.
Tackers Courses run on the School Holidays.
OCTOBER Monday 1 to Friday 5 2018 8:30am to 12:30pm
DECEMBER Monday 10 to Friday 14 2018 8:30am to 12:30pm
DECEMBER Monday 17 to Friday 21 2018 8:30m to 12:30pm
JANUARY Monday 14 to Friday18 2019 8:30am to 12:30pm
JANUARY Monday 21 to Friday 25 2019 8:30am to 12:30pm
JANUARY Tuesday 29 to Friday 1 FEBRUARY 2019 8:30am to 1:30pm (4 day course)
Tackers 1 – Having Fun – kids sail in pairs in small boats. It’s a great way to meet new friends and kids have the chance to sail with other in their group.
Tackers 2 - Tricks and Techniques Enrolment into Tackers 2 requires the completion of Tackers 1.
This course is designed to consolidate the experience and knowledge gained in Tackers 1. New skills and knowledge are introduced that will enable the successful participant to safely and competently sail a dinghy in controlled conditions independently.
Tackers 3 Sailing Fast requires the completion of Tackers 2.
Upon completion of Tackers 3, sailors will be able to apply knowledge of fundamental boat handling to independently manoeuvre their boat in moderate conditions on all points of sailing.

Who should do this course?
This is the perfect 'taster' for anyone who wants to discover sailing for the first time. This is the perfect introduction and can be the ideal way for you to begin your sailing journey, without having to commit to a full training course.
Course Outcome
Following the course, you will receive a completion certificate.
We recognise that some of our course participants are completing the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award and may be using sailing and/or club membership to complete one or more sections of The Award. To learn more, click here.
