RAMS Pee Wee League

On 1st June 1982, Peter Kemp organised a meeting of parents interested in forming a Pee Wee League to replace both the primary school competition run by the Henley & Grange Baseball Club and the soon to be defunct Under 13 competition run by the SA Baseball League. From this meeting of six people,  a steering committee was formed.

The first Annual General Meeting of the Rams Pee Wee League was held on 7th October 1982 when the constitution was adopted and the first committee elected:

The six teams in the first season were (names aligned with their sponsors):

· Monck’s Maniacs – coached by Jim Goble

· LEOS – coached by Geoff Duhne

· Dyvi Offshore Vikings – coached by Ron Palmer

· Sola Hart Sunspots – coached by Mike Scolyer

· Playfords Panthers – coached by Paul Ingham

· Mainstyle Maulers – coached by Darryl Jarrett

Seventy children participated across the six teams in the first year. An outstanding achievement and great foresight by Peter Kemp and the Rams Pee Wee Committee.
