This past weekend, our Under 14's rep team competed in Softball NSW's 2022 Under 14's State championships. The girls did exceptionally well with lots of high scoring games. HDSA finished the weekend in 5th place, a fantastic result for our association.

The team started off the weekend with a convincing win over the invitational team beating them 15-2. The girls then lost the next few games to MacArthur, Cumberland Nepean and Georges River in tough, close games.

On Sunday Morning, the team came out firing, beating Penrith City 16-8. The day followed with a loss to North Shore and Manly but finished with a win in the finals round to beat MacArthur 7-6 for the 5th place position.

At the conclusion of the tournament, one player from each team is awarded SNSW's 'Player's Player' award that is voted on by the players in each team. Congratulations to Elyssa Eisermann who received the 'Player's Player' from the Hornsby team.
