Following the success of the inaugral Hornsby Virtual Relays, we will stick with the winning format for the second round, although teams will be reconfigured to make it a true race yet again.
FORMAT:
- Virtual teams of 4 runners - teams will be assigned and 'equalised' to make it a true RACE OFF!
- Each runner will complete a 4km time trial anytime between Thursday 30th September and Sunday 3rd October.
- Courses can be of your own choice (subject to rules below).
- Each team will create their own bib to print and wear; and evidence of the performance must be recorded on STRAVA, with a photo of you wearing your bib (5 second time deduction per runner for wearing a bib).
- Runners are encouraged to wear Hornsby kit if you can.
RULES:
- You MUST comply with NSW Health Guidelines at all times.
- If NSW Health guidelines permit, you CAN run with another person if you choose to, but you can also run solo.
- No strava wankers allowed: No net drop in elevation; No stopping & starting watches; No driving, cycling or putting your watch on your child/dog.
- You MUST be safe at all times. Do not plan a course with multiple road crossings!
- You must record your run via STRAVA* and tag it as a RACE titled: 'Hornsby District Virtual Relay #2' and include a photo of you with your bib for time bonus.
- If someone in your team fails to participate, your team will be given the slowest time from the event as a substitute.
