Training sessions

All training sessions are based at Pennant Hills oval unless indicated otherwise.  There are no fees for General Training, and a small term based fee for Specialist Training.  Individual training can be organised directly with the coaches.  If you need any further information regarding training, please contact president@hdlac.org.au.

General Training:

Fitness Training - Monday Afternoons: There are two sessions available.  4:30-5:30pm is suitable for all runners of any ability (split between Junior and Adult groups).  5:30-6:30pm is suitable for more competitive runners (age 12+ including adults).  If you are unsure which training session will suit you, please get in touch.  Monday training sessions involve a 20 minute warm up with drills and mobility work, an interval session and warm down. 

Junior Skill Development - Monday & Thursday Afternoons: Our Skill development sessions run during term time and include a group warm up and two 20 minute skill development sessions across all Little Athletics events.  Recommended for ages 7-12.  Athletes are encourgaed to attend regularly to maximise the benefit from these fun training sessions, and we encourage you to RSVP to assist our coaches with planning.

Specialist Training - booking required

Squad training sessions are for athletes aged 12+ and some incur a small fee per term.  Numbers are capped and athletes should commit to attending every session.  Participation in a squad is based on athlete maturity and commitment to attend regularly.  There is no performance requirement.
