Swimmers may swim up one age category but then must remain in that age category for all other relay events. For example, a 10-year-old swimmer can swim in the 11-13 aged 4x50m medley relay but then must swim in the 11-13 aged 4x100m freestyle relay and 4x50m freestyle relay. If a swimmer chooses to swim up, they cannot also compete in their age category.

This is a closed event open to only the following clubs: Broome, Derby, Carnarvon, Exmouth, Onslow, Paraburdoo, Pannawonica, Newman, Tom Price, Karratha, Port Hedland, Wickham.

Note: 8 year olds who turn 9 years old before Country Champs, meaning they have a birthday between November 25th and 5th January, they will be able to enter Pilbara Championships as a 9 year old to obtain official times.
