Nominations are open for Australian Masters Selectors to attend the National Championships in Perth 2023 to select World Cup teams.  

Teams will be selected to participate in the age groups over 35+, 40+, 45+, 50+, 55+, 60+ , 65+, 70+ for Men and Women and 75+ and 80+ (Men Only).

Australian teams will be selected in all age groups. Australian A teams will be selected in all age groups except the 70+ Women and 80+ Men.

Positions to be appointed:  

• Convenor of Selectors (1 for Each Tournament)
• Panel Chair (1 for each age group)
• Assistant Selectors (including Australian coaches or other nominees) 

There are Three Tournaments:

Women's 34+ to 70+  Friday 22 September - Saturday 30 September 2023

Men's 34+, 40+, 45+  Saturday 23 September - Sunday 1 October 2023

Men's 50+ to 80+  Thursday 28 September - Saturday 7 October 2023.

All Selectors, Panel Chairs and Assistant Selectors will be required to meet at Perth Hockey Stadium at 9:00am on the day prior to the tournament.

IMPORTANT PLEASE NOTE AS THIS IS DIFFERENT TO PREVIOUS YEARS:

The Convenor of Selectors (per tournament) and Age Group Panel Chairs will have no other roles at the tournament to which they are appointed.

Appointed officials will have the option for HA to arrange flights, shared accommodation and vehicles on their behalf or to arrange their own flights and accommodation.

Appointed officials who choose to organise their own flights and accommodation will be entitled to claim an honorarium based on their location up to the amounts below:

Assistant Selectors appointed per age group who may also have a role such as a Player, Coach, Manager, other for a State/MA team participating at the championships may claim an honorarium of $250.

All appointed Selectors and Assistant Selectors will be entitled to:

• the use of a shared hire car for transport between local accommodation, Perth Hockey Stadium and other grounds as required including fuel costs;
• HA polo shirt, hoodie and tracksuit pants – value $150.
