Notice of AGM

Our AGM will be held on Monday the 26th of August 6:30 pm at Gosford Olympic Pool in the meeting room. All members are welcome to attend. There will be more information which will be sent out soon

Positions available

We are currently looking for people to fill the following roles for the upcoming 2024/25 season. If you're interested in applying for one of the roles or have any questions please let us know by emailing president@gosfordwaterpolo.net and let us know that you intend to apply for one of the positions. Don't forget to register to attend the AGM

  • President: The President leads the club, overseeing all operations and ensuring the club's goals are met. This role involves representing the club at external events and being the main point of contact for members and external stakeholders.

  • Secretary: The Secretary manages the club's administrative tasks, including organizing meetings, maintaining records, and handling correspondence. They ensure smooth communication within the club and with external organizations.

  • Communications Officer: Responsible for promoting the club through various media channels. This role includes managing social media accounts, updating the club’s website, and ensuring timely communication with members and the broader community.

  • Financial Director: Oversees the club’s finances, including budgeting, financial reporting, and ensuring funds are allocated appropriately. The Financial Director works closely with other committee members to ensure the club's financial health.

  • Registrar: Manages membership records, registration processes, and player eligibility. The Registrar ensures that all members are properly registered and that records are kept up to date.

  • Coaching Coordinator: Oversees the recruitment, training, and support of the club’s coaches. This role ensures that coaching standards are met and that the development of players is aligned with the club's objectives.

  • Events & Fundraising (Sponsorship, Grants & Fundraising): This role focuses on organizing events to raise funds, securing sponsorships, and applying for grants to support the club’s activities and growth. They coordinate with other committee members to plan and execute successful events.

  • Tournament Coordinator: Responsible for coordinating the club’s participation in external tournaments. This role involves collating team lists, arranging coaches and managers, handling team entry payments, and ensuring effective communication with all teams involved. The Tournament Coordinator ensures that all logistical aspects are in place, allowing players and coaches to focus on their performance.

  • Merchandise Officer: Manages the design, ordering, and distribution of club merchandise. This role ensures that members have access to high-quality gear that promotes the club's brand and identity.

  • Member Protection Officer: Ensures the safety and well-being of all club members by implementing and overseeing policies related to member protection. This role handles any issues or concerns regarding member welfare and ensures compliance with relevant guidelines.

  • Central Coast Water Polo Representatives: Act as the club's liaison with Central Coast Water Polo. They attend meetings, represent the club's interests, and communicate relevant information back to the committee and members.

  • General Member: Supports the committee by assisting with various tasks and projects as needed. This role is flexible, allowing members to contribute in areas where they can be most effective.

The Gosford Water Polo Committee is a great group of people who work together to achieve great things for our club. All members of our committee support each other and always put our members first. Many roles within our committee are flexible and allow you to contribute when it suits you.
