The National Primary Games is an inclusive festival of sport which includes 15 different codes for children aged (U11/12) catering for teams of all standards over the weekend 11th and 12th July 2015.  

The festival will be held in Tamworth and our team will compete against teams from as far north as the Sunshine Coast and South to Albury. The NPG values sportsmanship and inclusivity being the focus of the weekend. The Water Polo is hosted by the Tamworth Water Polo Association in the outstanding indoor pool at 360 Fitness Centre.

The NPG Water Polo is shaping up to be an exciting part of the event. The teams will play a minimum of four games on the Saturday each running for 24 minutes and then we will play a finals series on the Sunday morning at our level. The NPG includes the Games Celebration Function featuring Olympians and other high profile performers to entertain the children and their families.

Itinerary for NPG is as follows:

  • Sat 8.30-4.45pm: 4 x 24 minute Games
  • Sat 12-2pm: Lunch provided
  • Sat 5.30pm-6:30pm: Games Celebration Function (Guest Olympians and other entertainers) Families welcome at Tamworth regional Entertainment Centre (TRECC) Greg Norman Dr, Tamworth
  • Sun 9am-12pm: Games (Finals series at our level, as all teams will play a Grand Final ie. 1v2 or 23v24)
  • Sun 11am-1230pm: Lunch provided
  • Sun 12pm: Closing Ceremony
  • Sun 12:30pm: Depart for home

Cost for the NPG is $35.This includes lunch both days, Games Celebration Function, NPG Hat, registration and insurance. The children will enjoy playing competition at their level and will join in the ultimate celebration of all that is good about sport with a focus on inclusivity, sportsmanship and above all enjoyment.
