We are also very proud to announce that this tournament will be held in memory of Michael Gibson, GRSA member and softball great, who passed away in 2023. A portion of the profits for the tournament will be used to set up the Michael’ ‘Gibbo’ Gibson Grant.

 

This undertaking has been made in consultation with Michael’s family and reflects their wishes to honour Michael’s contribution to our sport. We know that the many members of our softball community will want to be a part of this inaugural event and we are honoured to set the Fund in place. The money raised and contributed to the fund will help support GRSA high performance athletes who are selected to represent NSW and Australia. Athletes will be able to apply for grant funding to assist with their levies.

 

We look forward to seeing your team taking part and supporting this inaugural fundraiser in Michael’s honour.
