1. Get Familiarised

Learn about our Club, the versions of softball we play and where we play.

Are you considering playing softball but have never played? Is this your child's first time playing a team sport? Is your child more interested in learning the skills and participating in drills rather than playing in a competition setting? Are you looking for a Club with player pathways into rep t-ball/softball?Are you looking to play a more social slow pitch version of softball? Have you taken a break from fast pitch softball and are looking to get back into the sport? Are you new to the neighbourhood and looking to find a new Club? Are you looking to play a sport where the entire family can play together? Are you looking to make new friends? Are you wanting to learn how to become a softball umpire or scorer? Are you wanting to become a volunteer in your local community?

If you've answered yes to any of the above, the Greystanes Giants is the Club for you.

We play:

  • Blast Ball (ages 3-5). This is a 10 week program that is skills and drills based, not in a competition setting, to introduce young children to a team sport environment with the emphasis on having fun and making friends. Parents are encouraged to participate
  • T-ball (ages 5-10)
  • Modified softball (ages 10-12). This is a mix between t-ball and live-pitch softball with a Zooka machine and/or a pitcher
  • Softball (ages 12+, with no upper age limit). We have girl's, boy's, and mixed competitions
  • We also participate in an o35s women's master's competition on Wednesday nights, as well as Friday night slow pitch, which is a fun way to play socially with a group of friends or your whole family (aged 12+)

Last year we fielded the teams in the following divisions:

  • U10s Mixed T-Ball
  • U12 Mixed Modified Softball
  • U14s Girls Softball
  • School Girls Softball
  • Youth Mixed Softball
  • Ladies B Grade Softball
  • Ladies B Reserve Grade Softball
  • Mixed B Grade Softball
  • Mixed C Grade Softball
  • o35s Women's B Reserve Softball (combo team)

Upcoming Events

We recommend your child attend the upcoming "Come and Try Day", which is a pre-season open training session. At this event, your child can meet coaches and officials, returning and prospective players and their parents. We encourage all players to bring a mate as we know sports are more fun with friends! We will also be holding a free bbq for attendees. For more information, see below:

2. Get Registered

Register as a Giant for this summer season and nominate the team(s) you want to play with and any team mates you would like to play with. We will do our best to accommodate your request. If you are unsure which team is suitable for you/your child, please contact us.

Filling out your details in the registration form will generate a unique softball ID and link sent to your/your parent or guardian's email that you can use to complete your player registration. Your softball ID will be required to renew your registration if you are a returning player. When your register, you will have to pay registration fees, as well as a compulsory umpiring levy and fundraising levy.

Special promotion: If you refer a new player to our Club, we will provide the referring player with a $10 cash rebate to your registration fees. This is limited to 1 referral per returning member.

3. Get Kitted

Playing shirts, hats and socks can be ordered at our uniform store on our website. Black game pants or shorts are to be sourced by players/parents. We recommend you order uniform as soon as possible in the pre-season. At the moment, we have limited stock available so we are looking to complete a uniform run shortly. If items are not in stock, they can take 4-6 weeks to be fulfilled. Our uniform order cut-off date for the 2024/2025 season is 23 September 2024.

Please have a read of what do I need for an understanding of what uniform and equipment is needed for players and where they can be purchased. In terms of equipment, bats and balls will be supplied by the club. Players will need to bring their own gloves and helmets and other protective equipment (optional) to every game. For hygiene reasons, we do not share helmets.

Note: All new juniors (t-ball and softball players, under the age of 13) will receive a free glove and ball pack as part of their registration.

If players are looking to purchase their own glove and/or bat, but are unsure of what size is appropriate, and you cannot find that information on the what do I need page, don't hesistate to reach out to us! We'd be happy to help!

4. Get Excited

Teams for the 2024/2025 season will be determined soon. At the beginning of September, based on an indication of numbers gathered from registration data, we will be submitting teams to CNSA.

The 2024/2025 summer season officially starts on the second weekend of October 2024 (Friday 11th October/Saturday 12th October). It will be a 15-week season with finals rounds to follow in March 2025. There will be a mid-season month-long break during the Christmas/New Year school holidays.
