Inshore Racing/ Offshore Racing

We are fortunate that COVID restrictions have been eased enough in NSW that we can again run yacht races and barring problems like Melbourne, we should be able to run a normal sailing program for the coming season. It has been particularly pleasing to see so many yachts out for the winter series which is being hotly contested.

A calendar for next season will be available on the club website in the next few weeks.

There are several events that you should know about in the meantime:

August 1 Final Winter Race - There will be a presentation after the race followed at 5pm with the Yacht Fleet AGM in the Boatshed. Several of our current committee are prepared to rest and but we are looking for a Crew Officer and also wish to institute a new position of Results Officer. This person would be responsible for ensuring that results after the race are available and posted ASAP. They would need to obtain the race officer's raw results, enter them into the handicap program and then post them on the club website. August 2 GSC AGM I would recommend attending to find out what the board has been doing to cope with the COVID restrictions and to maintain financial viability, and to make sure the board is well represented by sailing members.

August 8 Working Bee Our club's annual working bee is set for this day starting at 9am. Come and help out and help our club get ready for the coming season. Bring gloves.

August 29 Yacht Presentation Day Unfortunately our presentation night was cancelled in May, so we are now having a more informal presentation afternoon in the Boatshed

September 5 11.30 All fleets briefing and Welcome Day, Corona Regatta 2pm

September 13 Inshore Race 1

September 20 Offshore Race 1

September 26 BBIC Race 1
