Nathan competing overseas in a World Teams Trophy regatta

GSCsailor Nathan Gulliksen has been invited to compete with other members of CYCA Youth Sailing Academy, at the 70thWilson Trophy, hosted by West Kirby Sailing Club (West Kirby is south west of the little know town of Liverpool in England). The Wilson Trophy is essentially the worlds event for team racing, attracting some of the world’s most skilled exponents of the discipline, along with many fleet racing and match racing world champions and Olympians.
The Blue Oak 70thWilson Trophy, is happening this weekend at the theatre of dreams, West Kirby marine lake. 36 teams will be battling it out over three days for this much-coveted trophy. The scene is set for three epic days of racing, two nights of incredible parties and all the traditions that have built up over the last 70 years.
There are 27 UK teams competing for the Blue Oak 70thWilson Trophy. The remaining nine teams are comprised of international sailors, with 5 teams from the USA, 2 from Ireland, 1 from Austria and 1 from Australia.
