Last Sunday GSC presented the annual Sailing Awards at the Annual General Meeting. Although this year has been like no other, with many lockdowns and border closures impacting local, state and national regattas, the quality of nominations was very high. GSC would like to congratulate the following individuals on their significant achievements in sailing at the club over the past year. 

• Junior Sailor of the Year- Miles Greenwood
  -Miles won the NSW State and National Championships in the Senior Sabot Class and competed strongly in many other regattas this season.
• Senior Sailor of the Year- Brian Pike 
  -Brian had a solid season of sailing, placing 2nd in the Contender States held at Gosford this year. He has shown a great level of dedication to sailing, being on the water almost every week.
• Club Person of the Year- Nigel Short
  -Nigel has been a significant contributer of the sailing club, volunteering his time skippering in the Adult Learn to Sail Program as well as helping facilitate the recent club rennovations.
