The Gosford Sailing Club Legends Regatta marked the conclusion of the 2021-22 Sailing Season over the weekend with many sailors taking to the Brisbane Waters. GSC’s Legends are honored annually for their significant contribution to the Gosford Sailing Club and their profound influence on the everyday lives of many sailing members.

The event proved successful with Skiff, Lasers Mixed Fleet, Etchells and Sports Boat sailors making the most of their final sail of the season. Light winds made for challenging conditions, yet there was just enough wind to race on a windward leeward course. Congratulations to the following sailors who won their division (calculated with both scratch and handicap results) and will have their name engraved on the Legends perpetual trophy.

A big thank you to the race officers and volunteers who have done a tremendous job to conduct racing over the last season. While prominent rain, light winds and covid restrictions had significant impact on the racing structure throughout the year it was outstanding to see the Club Legends remembered by many sailors over the weekend. The Gosford Sailing Club looks forward to next seasons racing which, with the enthusiasm of many people, is sure to be a wonderful year on the water.
