Hello Gosford Sailing Club Members!

I hope this message finds you well and enjoying the sailing season. I have some exciting updates and news to share with our valued sailing community members.

Sailing Committee Highlights:

• Our dedicated fleet representatives are here to support you and serve as your point of contact for any suggestions, queries or concerns. Please reach out to them for assistance.
• We recently held a Race Management Team workshop with our amazing volunteers to enhance our capabilities. The findings and action plans are already in motion to boost our team.
• We are working on refining our use of SailSys,  SailSys is now being used in many clubs in Australia and overseas and we have a meeting with planned with the SailSys team to help us get the best out of how we use it.

Club Update:

• Great news! The lift installation is complete and is expected to be operational in time for the with the completion of the downstairs renovations.
• Our overall financial performance has been outstanding! The Board, staff and volunteers have been working hard to improve the financial position of the club with the bar and bistro having returned to profit and are making good progress. Thanks for your ongoing support of our club.

• Our Junior program is growing! We are working closely with families to retain and develop our young sailors. Thanks to your generous contributions, we raised over $6000 through the Australian Sports Foundation to support our Junior sailors. And we are starting to apply money to build the fleet of young sailors

Volunteers:

• Our new Volunteer Shirts have arrived! A big thank you to all our volunteers. If you see a volunteer, please take a moment to thank them.
• We have some areas where we need your help:
• Junior Fleet support: Can you help coach families new to sailing and assist with Juniors on support boats. Please contact volunteer@gossail.com.au
