Gosford Sailing Club is getting ready to reopen. The Club will not be open on the 1st of June, but hopefully not too long after. The reopening will be under strict controls, in line with the latest information from NSW Health and ClubsNSW.
Initially, there will be revised trading hours and entry will be limited to 50 patrons at any one time. Only a reduced selection of bottle beer and wines, spirits and soft drinks will be available.
The restaurant will open with revised hours and a revamped menu. Bookings, limited to a maximum of 10 persons, will be required to ensure that patron numbers are controlled.
All sales will be cashless; that is, only credit or debit cards, can be accepted. Member cards and the GSC App will not be used for the time being.
All Members and guests will be required to sign into the Club and provide a contact phone number or email. This is a requirement to assist in the management if a COVID-19 case was to arise. We would also like to encourage patrons to download the COVIDSAFE app on their phone.
Hand sanitiser units will be available in the venue. Please use them and follow the instructions on the signage placed around the venue.
We will implement strict cleaning procedures, and signage regarding adherence to the 1.5 metre Social Distancing policy will be in place. We ask that all patrons practice good hygiene and maintain social distancing. More importantly, do not visit the venue if you are feeling unwell.
We will adhere to comprehensive health and safety standards designed to protect you and our team. We have modified the layout of the seating to ensure social distancing. While you are in the Club, you are required to remain seated and not stand and congregate. A maximum of 10 persons can be seated at the one table.
Presentation nights and the 30 year anniversary of the yacht fleet remain postponed at this time. Also, no raffles will be conducted nor live entertainment provided at present.
On a positive note, sailing will commence again on Saturday 6 June in the Winter Series.
We look forward to you returning to our Club and, by helping us in stopping the spread, we will hopefully return to a new form of normal sooner.
