AUS Sail GP Team Win In Spain

Published Wed 13 Oct 2021

There was strong winds and capsizes at the latest Sail GP round in Cadiz, Spain over the weekend, but that didn't stop the Australian Sail GP Team from surging ahead to take out the last European leg of the tour.
Tom Slingsby and his team which featured Nina Curtis, the first women to ever sail an F50 Catamaran in the Sail GP event, had a well deserved comeback after technical issues the event before in France. The Australians were hot on their feet, dodging chaos on the water with both Spanish and Great Britain Teams having major swims in the wild conditions. A solid win for the Australians now puts them on top of the leaderboard for the championship, with a 1 million dollar prize up for grabs at the end of the tour.

Slingsby said "We're stoked with the day. It couldn't have gone better for us".
