Mission Statement: The Silver Fleet aims to develop basic sailing and racing skills to prepare novice sailors for transitioning into Junior Fleet racing. The Silver Fleet promotes inclusive and adaptive learning for sailors of varied skill levels. This course involves both group and individual learning and uses appropriate and simple language. The Silver Fleet encourages competition and constant improvement however also aims to promote the welcoming, supportive and social sailing culture of Gosford Sailing Club. This year the Silver fleet program will commence on Saturday 6th February from 12:30pm-4:30pm and run every Saturday up until the end of the sailing season (10th April).
You must be a club member and have completed the level two program to register into this course.

Please use your existing Australian Sailing number to register for this and any future sailing events.

Please do not create a duplicate account if you already have an AS number.

Gosford Sailing Club supports the NSW Government Active Kids Rebate program.

Please use the discount code ACTIVEKIDS2020 at time of event registration and pay the balance of the fees payable to guarantee your spot within the program.

You MUST supply a copy of the voucher to GSC, and your child's DOB, via email to: info@gossail.com.au at the time of registration.

If the supplied voucher is not able to be redeemed by GSC you must pay the balance outstanding directly to GSC prior to participating in the program.

Water confident and you should have the skills, knowledge and experience gained from the Better Sailing course.

Who should do this course?

This course is designed for participants who wish to learn the basics of racing and begin competing at club-level races. 

Course Outcome

You will gain your Start Racing (Dinghy) completion certificate. 

We recognise that some of our course participants are completing the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award and may be using sailing and/or club membership to complete one or more sections of The Award. To learn more, click here.
