Mission Statement: The Silver Fleet aims to develop basic sailing and racing skills to prepare novice sailors for transitioning into Junior Fleet racing. The Silver Fleet promotes inclusive and adaptive learning for sailors of varied skill levels. This course involves both group and individual learning and uses appropriate and simple language. The Silver Fleet encourages competition and constant improvement however also aims to promote the welcoming, supportive and social sailing cult
ure of Gosford Sailing Club. This year the Silver fleet program will commence on Saturday 20th October from 12:30am-4:30pm and run every Saturday up until 15th December.
You must be a club member to register into this course.

Course Prerequisites

Water confident and you should have the skills, knowledge and experience gained from the Better Sailing course.

Who should do this course?

This course is designed for participants who wish to learn the basics of racing and begin competing at club-level races. 

Course Outcome

You will gain your Start Racing (Dinghy) completion certificate. 

We recognise that some of our course participants are completing the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award and may be using sailing and/or club membership to complete one or more sections of The Award. To learn more, click here.
