We are pleased to welcome participants to our Adult Learn to Sail Program (Start Skippering) for Aug 2024.  This course will include two six hour sessions, conducted over the dates as listed above.  
It involves both theory and practical sessions.

Course Prerequisites

Water confident.
Must have completed both the Start Crewing and Start Helming Courses.

Who should do this course?

This course is designed for participants who wish to begin sailing in a keelboat. Learn the basics, whilst staying relatively dry! All the equipment and safety gear will be provided by Gosford Sailing Academy.

Training will be conducted on the Club's fleet of  Magic 25 keelboats, which carry an Instructor and up to four course participants. There may also be opportuntity to conduct some of the training on small Yachts.
The boats will be sailed inshore on the Brisbane Waters.

It is expected that participants have completed Start Crewing & Start Helming courses or have knowledge and experience to that level.

The GSC Sailing Academy abides by the Australian Sailing instructor:student ratios, hence places are strictly limited.  To avoid disapointment, we recommend registering early.  

The registration fee for this course is $420.

Course Overview
You will now advance your sailing skills and safety knowledge to enable you to skipper unsupervised in sheltered waters.
