Start Powerboating with Gosford Sailing Club! Our next course (theory component) will run on Thursday 4th November from 6:30-9:00pm, with the practical date to be advised. This course is for fully vaccinated participants only.

Gosford Sailing Club offers Australian Sailing accredited ‘Start Powerboating’ Courses for people interested in owning and/or being in charge of a recreational powerboat! The Start Powerboating Program introduces skills ranging from practical driving skills, trip planning, boat maintenance, safety equipment, to the correct procedure of dealing with emergency situations. The lower age limit for training is 12 years old, however, Australian Sailing recommends anyone under the age of 16 to be under the supervision of an adult when operating a powerboat. Following this course you will have sufficient skills and knowledge to safely skipper a small powerboat. You will also receive a Start Powerboating Certificate.
