Dragon Boat Victoria in association with Geelong Dragon Boat Club  is delighted to invite you to the Battle on the Barwon Time Trial on the beautiful Barwon River.

Regatta Details

Date: Sunday 11th September 2016

Time: 9am to 1pm

Venue: Marnock Road, Geelong (opposite the Balyang Sanctuary)

Boats: All boats are 22s

Cost: $40 per paddler, Early Bird rate.

Gazebos: Allowed in designated area if using tent pegs they will need to be fully removed after.

Race Categories

1. Race is a 6.4 k time trial. 
2. Dragons Abreast  heat dependent on entires.

Notes

• All race distances are approximate at time of printing.
• There are no age categories.
• Minimum ages are 12 years for paddlers and drummers, 16 years for helms.
• Races are staggered start as in sweeps races and placing's will be on times
• 20’s crew –  a maximum of 10 male paddlers (excludes drummer and sweep)
• DA Paddlers must have current Dragons Abreast Australia membership.
• Combined teams are welcome – see DBV guidelines for entries.
• Members wishing to attend the regatta need to be financial members and payments need to be reconciled by DBV for members to be available for selection in the regatta portal.

Note that the schedule is indicative it may change subject to entries, weather or other factors.

This is designed to be a fun challenge to start the season and we  hope participants will join us for lunch or a few drinks at  Little Creatures Brewery after the event. There will be a coffee van onsite

The final race draw will be published in the evening 3 days prior to the regatta.

1. Crew lists and waivers must be submitted no later than 9am. First Heat at 10am.
2. Regatta Fees, invoicing by DBV for early bird payments will be at 9am Monday 5th September. Any entries after 5th September, will attract the standard/late fee and will be invoiced to clubs post the regatta.
3. Clubs must check the draw posted at the regatta to confirm any changes to the program.
