Notice is given that the Annual General Meeting of the GEELONG AMATEUR WATER

POLO ASSOCIATION INCORPORATED will be held on Monday 13 May 2019 at 5:30

pm at Geelong College Aquatic Centre, Talbot Street, Newtown.

The ordinary business of the meeting will be:

1. To confirm the minutes of the previous annual general meeting and of any special

general meeting held since that meeting.

2. To receive and consider the annual reports from the Committee on the activities

of the Association during the last preceding financial year.

3. To elect members of the committee.

4. To receive and consider the financial statement of the Association for the

preceding financial year submitted by the Committee in accordance with part 7 of

the Act.

5. To confirm the annual subscription and joining fees for 2019/20.

A member may appoint another member as his or her proxy to vote and speak on his

or her behalf at the annual general meeting. The appointment of a proxy must be in

writing and signed by the member making the appointment, clearly identifying the

person appointed as the member’s proxy. The appointment of a proxy must be

given to the Chairperson of the meeting before or at the commencement of the

meeting. The appointment of a proxy sent by post or electronically is of no effect

unless it is received by the Club Secretary no later than 24 hours before the

commencement of the meeting.

The member appointing the proxy may give specific directions as to how the proxy is

to vote on his or her behalf, otherwise the proxy may vote on behalf of the member

on any matter as he or she sees fit.
