Volunteers for Glebe MardiGras Photo

We are seeking expressions of interest from LGBTIQ+ members and allies in the club who are interested in participating in a rowing-themed pride photoshoot in support of Mardi Gras.

We want to ensure the full diversity of our club is on display, so all interested and supportive members are encouraged to get in touch. We are hoping to conduct the shoot out on the Harbour this coming Sunday 28 February.

Please contact Bri or Jacob by text or WhatsApp on 0432 264 422 or 0424 146 503 respectively.

Training options

Check out the notice board and you will find different options for your training sessions with focus on building up speed for racing.

Clean up Australia Day - 5th-7th March- Registration

If are planning to be part of the GRC Clean Up Australia Day please register here: GRC Clean Up Australia Day

As a Club we will be pushing hard to get all our members to come down over the weekend 5th-7th of March to help clean up Blackwattle, Rozelle, and White Bays.

This is a great way to interact with and show leadership in the community.

Anyone wishing to take a leadership role with this please let Brad or Fran know.

No Headphones When Rowing - Safety Reminder

If you are accustomed to rowing around the Bay while listening to headphones: stop now

Representatives from GRC, Maritime, the marina, the barge operators and Outrigger and Dragon Boat clubs meet every quarter to discuss and resolve safety issues.  At the last two meetings, the barge operators have raised incidents where they reported two near misses and a collision due to rowers being unable to hear them as they were listening to headphones while rowing.

If you wear earbuds while you row, stop now. Concentrate on rowing harder and more safely.

The end of season get together will be on 5 June.

Please save the date and there will be updates to follow.
