AGM – Sunday 16 August at 10am

Please put Sunday 16 August at 10am in your diaries for this year's Club Annual General Meeting.  Details about how the AGM will be run will be circulated closer to time and will be in accordance with the then-current COVID-19 restrictions.  If the restrictions at the time require us to further delay the AGM, we will let you now as soon as possible.

This year's AGM will NOT be in person due to COVID-19 restrictions. It will be run as a webinar.

Only Voting members are able to attend .

As always, all the Committee roles are up for election at the AGM.  You will be notified of the formal process for nominating for Committee positions when the Notices of Meeting are sent out, but in the meantime, if you are interested in contributing in formal any Committee role, please give it some thought, and reach out to any current Committee member if you have any questions about the positions.

The Committee roles are:

  • President
  • Captain
  • Vice-Captain
  • Treasurer
  • Secretary
  • 4 General Committee roles – can be responsible for various areas – currently the roles include administering memberships, Boat Captain, regatta entries, and running the Fish Markets and Bay Development strategies for the Club.

You are required to be a Senior Voting Member or Life Member of the Club to be nominated for election to the Committee.

Attendance and Voting at the AGM:

No member is entitled to attend any General Meeting or to be elected to the Committee unless that member is fully paid up on all monies owing to the Club including annual subscriptions and race fees, at the time of the General Meeting.

Only members who satisfy the requirements above and who belong to one of the following classes of membership are entitled to vote at General Meetings:

  • Life Member
  • Senior Voting Member (see below)
  • Trustee
  • Old Boy.

A Senior Voting Member is a Senior Member who, while aged eighteen (18) years or over, has:

  • competed in at least twelve (12) Rowing NSW registered point-score regattas for the Club; or
  • been a member of the Club for twenty-four (24) months.
