After the Learn to Row program
The course is designed as an intensive way to learn the sport and prepare to join Glebe's novice junior programs.
You will learn on land in the first session and get coaching in sculling boats (two oars).
After the program, if you are interested, you will have the opportunity to apply to join a winter training program at Glebe
Our winter training programs include:
- Winter novice regatta training - for rowers keen to get mroe race experience and train in sculling boats (singles and quads). The squad will race in the JB Sharp winter novice series in July-August (sessions are available on Monday, Thursday afternoons and Saturday and Sunday mornings (racing is on Sundays))
- School training squads (Sydney Secondary College, St Scholastica College, Inner Sydney High, Brigidine College, International Grammar School) - if you are from one of these schools and are keen to keep going in the sport, you will have the opportunity to join crews of schoolmates that are training over winter and racing in '24/'25 competition. (training times to be arranged with the crew)
- Erg squad - for rowers of all levels wanting to come to the club to do coached training on Concept II rowing machines. (Wednesday evenings)
