Congratulations to our 3 newly qualified Coaches, Mick Curran, Kim Costin and Paddy Horgan! We are all so proud of you all! Thank you to our Coach Heather Watts who has inspired and put in many hours mentoring Mick, Kim and Paddy to achieve thier goals! Our Coaches very successfully managed our team to to participate a very enjoyable weekend at the Falls Creek Regatta yesterday.

To quote Heather "What an awesome effort from 3 the members who have all recently gained their level 1 coaches qualification.

Gaining this qualification is not only a recognition of their experience, it is also due to them all putting in a tremendous amount of time and hard work. They gave up an entire weekend to attend a coaches course, then had lots of homework on theory that needed to be completed & submitted for assessment. Plus they had to be assessed over 3 sessions for their practical coaching ability as well.

Their reward for all this is a nice certificate and now the joy of doing regatta entries & crew lists before each regatta (which takes hours), keeping up to date with rule changes, managing the team on race days etc etc as well as conducting regular club training days. So please appreciate what they have done for all the members and the club and help them whenever you can."
