Our t-ballers finished their season with a fun day where they played lots of games showing the skills they’ve learned this season. Our Under 14’s had a rest because they finished top of the ladder and are straight into the grand final. Our Under 17’s finished the regular season and face Kangas in the grand final next week, and Div 2 took a 1 run win over Vikings to book their own place next week in what was a great game of softball, both to play and to watch.

 

We also celebrated Jett Donaghy’s 50th game, and Dannielle Kenny’s 150th. Both of these kids are dedicated members of our club and great ambassadors of the sport. Not only is this a milestone game for Dannielle, this season she has also undertaken her scoring accreditation to add to her softball resume which already includes umpiring and coaching as well. Jett is second-generation Giants and was lucky enough to be awarded this plaque by his coach and mum Erin - who herself came through the junior ranks at Giants and represents what a great family club we have.

 

To back it all up, we then held our Trivia Night Fundraiser tonight and would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to every single person who donated a prize, helped organise, set up, clean, worked during the event, came along to support us, or and made it such a successful night. It was great to see friends, meet new people, catch up with teammates both old and new, spend time with members of other clubs, and enjoy some time together off the diamond! We couldn’t do what we do without any of you so please know we appreciate and love you all.
