2022 Presentation Night
Congratulations to our wonderful coaches Callum, Trent and Kelli on doing a wonderful job in what continued to be a challenging season. Special thank you to Rachel and John for stepping in as women's coaches while Kelli was away. Thank you to all the team managers and volunteers who assisted in looking after the teams each week.
Congratualtions to all of our players on a great result to the 2022 season. This year, like the last two, have not been easy with players unavailable and relying on double-ups to field teams most weeks. Thank you to those who doubled up or filled in to help out our teams this year. I am proud to say that all four of our senior teams made in into the finals, two of which made it into the grand final. Unfortunately this year wasn't our year.
Though we didn't walk away with premiership flags this year, We did have 11 of our players finish in the top 10 in the associations Best and Fairests across all 4 divisions. Congratulations to Ali Kooloos and Will Seymour who took our the best and fairest for the Division 2 woment and Division 1 Men. Matt Cherry was recognised for his achievements within the Hockey Geelong community by being add to the Hockey Geelong Hall of Fame. One of our junior members, Tucker Kooloos was also recognised for his work as an umpire and for the achievements he had made in his young career as a goalkeeper by awarded the Most Improved umpire and the John Stephenson Award.
Thank you to the 2022 committee. It was great to have such a big committee this year, full of new faces.
Finally, thank you to all of our members who have supported the club this year. Whether that be as players, volunteers or supporters, your support keeps our club going.
