SkateSA/Aust is insured by Arthur J Gallagher from 4pm 31st Dec each year until 4pm 31st Dec the following year.
The Skate Australia Insurance package includes:
- Sports Public & Products Liability including Professional Indemnity Insurance
- Sports Injury – Group Personal Accident Insurance
- Associations Liability Insurance
Who is Covered:
Skate Australia Inc; Skateboarding Australia Pty Ltd; Inline Hockey Australia Pty Ltd, Roller Derby Australia Pty Ltd, Artistic Skating Victoria Inc, Victorian Inline Hockey Organisation Inc, Skate Australia Victoria Speed Inc, Skate WA Inc, Skate Queensland Assoc Inc, Skate South Australia Inc, Skate NSW Inc; including:
- all State Branches and other affiliated state/league/club associations
- all members, players, coaches, referees, officials, first aid personnel, administrators and voluntary workers.
Please be aware whilst the Skate Australia Insurance policy is an extensive package, it only provides cover to registered members, participants and volunteers, whilst participating in Skate Australia (or Affiliated State) Sanctioned events (or recognised events where participation is sanctioned by Skate Australia (or Affiliated States)).
In 2016 there were a number of new and improved inclusions, that remain for 2017, such as Participant-to-Participant cover, Molestation cover, extended Directors & Officers Liability (for club committee members), Sports Injury Cover to all membership levels^ and improved Loss of Income cover, as well as a more comprehensive claims procedure and service.
*Associate Members / Volunteers are not covered for Sports Injury if on Skates
Additional Insurance cover such as Sports Property, Sports Travel or cover for Clubs/ Rinks outside of the scope of the Skate Australia sanctioned scope, are available to Skate Australia members directly from the Broker.
