GACILA RULES FOR CENTRE COMPETITION:
- All parents/carers must be registered with GACILA as a "Parent Volunteer" for insurance purposes. Those who are not registered to assist at their child(rens) events, must remain in the grandstand during club and carnival events.
- All events will be conducted under the Rules of Competition (RoC) from LANSW, ANSW, Athletics Australia and/or IAAF handbooks as appropriate.
- Parents are on notice that the sport of athletics requires a large number of helpers at each event to ensure events run smoothly and subsequently agree that with the registration of their child(ren) or themselves to the club and external competitions and carnivals, they agree to provide assistance and help as required to ensure a smooth running of events. A roster system will be in place. Parents agree to self organise a replacement for their roster slot should they not be able to assist that day/time. Parents are also of the understanding that persistant non attendance to their volunteer slots at club nights or carnivals, may mean their child(ren) or themselves may become ineligible to attend any further competitions as a GACILA Representative.
- All athlets must be registered with the club, or an identified athletics club in NSW or interstate if visiting.
- Only officials, helpers and competitors are allowed in the competition area. Spectators are to remain in the spectator area. Athletes must leave the area of competition at the completion of their event.
- Approved club uniform must be worn, with registration number, age group and any additional sponsor patches attached.
- Only events scheduled for the child's correct age group that week will be counted towards any end of season awards, unless otherwise notified the event will count towards point score.
