LEARN2SAIL KIDS IS AIMED AT KIDS BETWEEN THE AGES OF 7 AND 12 YEARS. LEARNING TO SAIL IS A GREAT WAY TO INCREASE LIFE SKILLS SUCH AS COMMUNICATION, SELF-RELIANCE, TEAMWORK, PROBLEM SOLVING AND SELF CONFIDENCE.
This is a 5 week course
Pre-requisites
Before commencing this Course, it is expected participants will have mastered the skills and absorbed the knowledge from the Start Sailing 2 course. It is expected that somebody would need about 6 months of sailing reasonably regularly to acquire the necessary experience, though this may not always be the case.
Course Outcomes
The successful sailor will be able to apply knowledge of the fundamental boat controls to manoeuvre the boat efficiently in light to moderate conditions on all points of sail
Who should do this course
Those that have completed Start Sailing 2 or can already sail a Dinghy reasonably competently but want to brush up on their skills
