Item 1
Deed of Agreement with Federal Government
Status: The Deed is signed by both parties and the funding is secured and we can expend moneys in accordance with the details of the agreement. – Status Quo
Item 2
Civil Works Tender
The tender came in much higher than expected and we had to review aspects of the design and what was included in the tender and the board resolved to award the contract to Price Civil Constructions.
Item 3
Program
It is unfortunate that circumstances have us at this stage 32 working days behind schedule, but we are hopeful that we will pick up time as navigate through the works. The Civil works will commence 11-12-2017. We will start other works prior to that and are completion date is debatable and although we are confident the field we be completed in time for the 2018 season all works from here on need to go to plan.
Item 4
Tiger Turf
Have prepared a contract, a program and we are expecting them on site in January to start the existing field resurfacing. Depending on progress it is likely they will go straight onto the new field soon after. The program suggests February start for the new field and a March 2018 completion
Item 5
Disposal of existing surface
The contract with Tiger Turf will include a significant sum of money to lift and dispose of the existing surface. To reduce that cost the Board has resolved to offer the surface to anyone who would like it under the following circumstances:
1. If someone who would like assists FNC Hockey with removing their required quantity they will be able to take the surface for no cost
2. If someone would just like to purchase some of the turf and not assist in removing it they will be required to pay $2.00 per square meter. (other generosity will be welcome)
3. Anyone taking sections of the carpet will be required to remove from the area at their own costs with own modes of transport
4. The Board reserves the right to reconsider these arrangements if circumstances require it
We still have over 2000m2 to dispose of so interested parties should contact Clint direct on 0414301668 to reserve sections of the carpet. Interested parties could also email Clint at gbah41@bigpond.com the surface rolls are 3.6 meters wide and will be removed in 3.6-meter-wide pieces at the required length?
The turf will be taken up on 16th December 2017
Item 6
Lighting
Proposals have been sort by providers to design, and the Board has resolved at this stage to install Traditional lighting as LED is more than $80,000.00 more and we simply cannot afford it.
Item 7
Working Bee Number 1
There will be a working bee on Saturday the 2nd of December to install some of the construction fence and some other minor works as in sediment control
Working Bee Number 2
Will be held on Saturday the 9th December will be major where we will complete the construction fence it is likely we will be demolishing the adjacent cricket nets and the western boundary hockey fence. We will require many hands on all days and the more that come along the quicker and easier it will be for all.
Working Bee Number 3
Will be held on Saturday the 16th of December where we will remove the existing surface. Those that have requested sections of the field will need to collect that day please.
