Hockey Northern Rivers School JUNIOR HOCKEY - MARVEL LEAGUE

A Hockey Challenge between participating Far North Coast Schools!

TERM 1- School Calendar year: Week-2 (from 10th February)- Ending Week-9 (5th April)

1/    8-Weeks Training – ‘PLAY-ON’ Program: (stages 1 - 3)

o    Coaching - 8-weeks (beginning the week of the 10th of February 2025)
o    After school 3.45 to 5pm each week (day to be decided) 
o    On school grounds 
o    Equipment Supplied 
o    Hockey Starter Kits (Stick, ball & Shin-pad set) available to buy from $30 

TRAINING COSTS: $5 per child/session ($40 Total) 

2/     NORTHERN RIVERS SCHOOL CHALLENGE

o    Challenge Games on Turf (6-weeks) 
o    Played at Goonellabah Hockey Fields (Oliver Ave.)
o    Weekly Challenge game – Friday 5.30 - 6.30pm 
o    Full coaching & support 
o    Modified field size, team size, rules, etc. to suit age and ability. 

TURF HIRE COSTS: $5 per child/game ($30 Total)

Students may participate in one or both components.

Schools may choose to hold training within school hours, therefore consistent with funding guidelines from NSW Sporting Schools Program.
