As discussed at the AGM in February, the Australian Title for 2022/23 is to be held in February at RGYC, Geelong Vic.

The FD Sailing Committee has been speaking with the Fireballs and they have a Vic State title on the 3rd, 4th and 5th of Feb and to reduce costs we have agreed a joint regatta over the three days. They (the Fireballs) will have around 10 boats and FDs will likely start first (those at Port Arlington will recall that worked best). Discussions with our ANZAC partners indicate it’s likely we’ll have some kiwi crews attending.  The FD Sailing Committee will be contacting multiple Aus boat owners to get some good boats available for use.

The regatta calendar will be populated shortly but will also include; the Sandy sail weekend Vic (mid Oct), Twofold bay NSW (end Feb) and Batemans Bay NSW (end April).

For the Sandringham Sail event, The FD Sailing Committee will be chasing FD SYC members to see if we can get a Friday as well as there is some interest in 3 days with Aus crews and kiwi crews.
