O&M FlippaBall
WELCOME TO FLIPPABALL
FlippaBall is non-contact Water Polo for children aged 8-12 years. The program is designed to help players new to the game of water polo establish the confidence and basic skills required to play the game in a fun but safe and controlled environment.
Flippa Ball is run by the Ovens & Murray Water Polo Association, although you can register through a club it is not club based and is a non competitive sport that includes a mixture of dry land warm ups, swimming and ball skills in the water.

Want to learn the basics of the game while having fun with your mates? Then look no further because FlippaBall is the program for you! Don’t get put off by all the rules of water polo. FlippaBall is modified, non-contact social competition for participants aged 12 and under. At Lavington pool we have the full use of the 50mt pool that allows us to utilise the shallow water for skills based sessions, and the deep end for more proficent swimmers.
FlippaBall competition is an adapted version of the game that has a shorter season length, different balls and additional modified rules to create enjoyment and basic skill development.
This is a good starting point for those new to the game before taking on a club age group competition.

Give all participants the opportunity to play water polo... regardless of their ability, awareness of the sport or access to pool facilities

Deliver an engagement tool for clubs, coaches, families and communities to connect and enjoy the sport of water polo.

Designed to get more children under the age of 12 years old playing water polo, the national FlippaBall program is a non-contact, modified version of the game designed to introduce kids to the sport in a fun way.
