The NZ Open over Labour Weekend will include a regional teams’ competitions for the three weapons, using round of 8 format.  Mid South will be able to enter two teams per weapon, per gender.  If any region is unable to enter two teams, then there will be the opportunity for Mid South (as the host region) to enter an additional team.  Depending on numbers, we are hoping these will be competitive and rewarding competitions at which Mid South teams enjoy deserved success.

This notice is to seek expressions of interest from fencers, either directly or through their coaches, for any of the Sabre, Foil or Épée teams.

Once we have a list of fencers, I will work with the coaches to form and select teams, including reserves, which will be announced Saturday, 13 October.
