Inter-city U13 Electric foil fencing competition 2016

Date: Saturday 10th December & Sunday 11th December

Venue:  The Fencing Institute, 91 Jack Hinton Drive, Addington, Christchurch

Time: Individual events: 1pm,10th December,  Regional team event: 9am, 11th​ December. 

Entries Close: 7th December at 9pm

Late entry will incur $20.00 surcharge.

Registration: 12:30pm 10th December, 8:30am 11th December

Entry Fee: $30 Individual Event or $30 Team Event. Fence in both the Individual and team event $50. 

Please internet bank your entry fee.

Bank account for internet banking: 03-0802-0087494-00. Use your name and Inter-cities U13.

Eligibility: Fencers must be U13 on 1 January 2016 ie: born on or after 1 January 2003. Fencers must be a member of Mid-South( or their region) and Fencing New Zealand or their country federation.

 If your child has just started fencing and has not become a member yet, they need to do so before the competition.

Equipment requirements: 

Fencing jacket (CE350N)​.

Fencing breeches (CE350N)​ or Long track pant are acceptable.

Under plastron (CE350N).

Chest protectors for girls is compulsory.

Fencing glove.

Fencing mask (CE350N) ​with elastic strap across back (Metallic bib not required).

Electric foil (U9-U11 blade size #0- #3 , U13 blade size no restrictions )

Mid-South fencers  can be hire gear for $5, contact Leasa Ogilve or your coach.

Event Format: Events will be mixed unless numbers warrant separate events, ie. U9, U11 and U13

Individual: If numbers permit separate boys' and girls' events, six or more of each gender and age group will be required, any less and the event will be mixed. There will be one round of Poules before direct elimination (ten hits, two periods of three minutes).

Team event : If the region has an insufficient number of fencers they may enter a composite team. Teams can be mixed in age and gender.

 Medals will be presented to the top four fencers in each individual event, providing entries number more than six.

Team: Certificates will be presented to the winning team.
