Gear Requirements
National-level competitions require high standards of equipment, both for fairness in the competition and for personal safety. See this page for the Fencing New Zealand gear requirements.

Note that FeNZ is not enforcing the 2018 FIE Mask Protocols at National competitions at this stage. See the FeNZ mask guidelines.

Weapons Check
It is vital that every competitor has working electric equipment. Therefore, all electric equipment and weapons must be checked before it is used in the tournament. You will not be allowed to fence if your electric equipment fails testing, so we recommend that you test your equipment and mke any necessary repairs before you arrive.

Weapons check will open approximately one hour before each event. Make sure that you arrive with enough time to complete weapons check before your event.

Team Events
Each team event will be run with a maximum of 8 teams per weapon per gender, and go straight to direct elimination (with no poules).  Each region is permitted to enter 2 teams per event. This event is a regional teams event; however, FeNZ has allowed regions to enter teams made up of fencers from a single school if that is desired. Please contact your regional executive for enquiries about entering teams.

Entering Teams
Expressions of interest for team slots must be emailed by a member of the regional executive to secretary.north@gmail.com by Wednesday 21st of August. Any slots which are not taken will be distributed first to the host region, then to any other interested regions.

The exact members of each team must be confirmed with the North Secretary by the individual deadline of Friday 30th of August.

The entry fee will be $60/team. Fencing North will provide invoices to regions following the second deadline.
