National Training Camp 2022
Fencing Mid South and Fencing New Zealand invite you to attend the National Training Camp 2022 to be held at CGHS in Christchurch on 9-10 July 2022
Eligibility:
Participants must be affiliated members of Fencing New Zealand who have paid their membership fee for the 2022 fencing year or if you are an international fencer of your country.

Timetable
Saturday 9 July
10am Start of training day
4pm End of training day
Lessons will be available with the coaches before and after the training day.

Registrations:
Registration closes on 8 July at 6pm
Entry Fees:
The entry fee will be $80 for both days, $50 for a single day.
Mid-South prefers entries fees to be paid at time of registration or by 8 July. No payments will be taken at the venue.
The preferred method of payment is by internet banking to the Fencing Mid South tournament account.

Equipment Standards:
Clothing: All clothing must be in a good state of repair.
Minimum of 1150N protection for Torso. This can be made up either by 350N Jacket with an 800N plastron or 800N Jacket with a 350N plastron.
350N Breeches
350N Mask.
Gloves- Must be in good condition and have no hole for body wires. 800N gloves are required for Sabre.
Chest Protectors for Women are compulsory.
COVID-19 Protocols:
While there is a risk of COVID-19 in the community and New Zealand is at Alert Level one or higher the following additional rules and protocols will be followed:
• Fencers, coaches, officials, and spectators who are sick or have any COVID-19 symptoms should withdraw from the competition and stay away from the venue.
• The event team has the right to refuse entry to a participant who is showing signs of being unwell.
• Fencers’ equipment & whites must be clean and recently washed.
• There is to be no sharing of fencing equipment or water bottles.
• The change to rule t.122 will apply. Fencers will not shake hands of their opponent or the referee on the piste but will salute instead.
• There is to be no hugging or kissing at the conclusion of bouts.
• If there is an alert level change in Christchurch, guidelines will be issued to all registered fencers with any updates regarding venue, spectators or any additional protocol that will be put into place.
Food: Food is not available to purchase on site but there is a shopping centre, Riccarton Mall, other food outlets close by.
Accommodation & Billets: There are a number of hotels and motels close by CGHS.

A limited number of billets may be available. Please contact the event organiser if you would like a billet.
