QUT Esports is excited to host our first VALORANT Lan at Gardens Point Campus on Wednesday the 8th of December. Teams will play five best-of-one VALORANT matches at Gardens Point Campus in a social, fun environment. Afterwards, the top four teams from the round robin stage will compete in a finals series to claim the title of QUT VALORANT Social Champions!
Please read all of the information below before registering. Once your team has registered, all official communications leading up to the event will be sent via email to the team captain nominated on the form.
Event Details:
When – 10am-5pm, Wednesday December 8th, 2021.
Where – X block/P block, QUT Gardens Point Campus, 2 George St, Brisbane City QLD 4000
Format –VALORANT Standard mode, five rounds, best-of-1 matches.
Finals – Top 4 teams advance to single-elimination, best-of-1 match bracket.
Equipment – QUT Esports will provide all computers and peripherals. Players will be able to bring their own mice, keyboards, mousepads and headsets if they would prefer to use their own equipment. All personal belongings are used at the participant’s own risk.
*Note* Players must be able to attend and play from the QUT Gardens Point Campus to participate in the event.
Registration and Rules
This tournament is open to all QUT Students, and open to non-QUT Students who have a current QUT Esports membership. QUT Esports membership can be purchased here: https://www.qut.edu.au/study/student-life/sport/esports
The cost of participation is $25 per team. Through this form, team captains can register up to 7 players (including themselves) to participate at the event. Once team captains have completed registration, they will be contacted at their nominated email address and provided with a payment link through QUT Pay. Once your team’s payment has been completed, the team captain will be sent a full ruleset and event guide to prepare teams for the day.
The winners of the tournament will receive custom 1st place medals provided by QUT Sport.
By registering for this event, all participants agree to abide by the QUT Manual of Policies and Procedures and Code of Conduct.
All participants must not use accounts with usernames that refer to drugs or alcohol or have any sexual references. Additionally, usernames must not be discriminatory against any individual or group based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other personal factors.
