Dear past, present and future EGHA Members,

EGHA will be holding a FREE Senior Umpiring Session open to all. We encourage the experienced, the new and everyone in between to attend, as this session caters to all. Details of the event are as followed:

Sunday 26th February 2023

11am in Clubhouse

11:30am on the turf

12pm Subway lunch and observation

EGHA aims to provide education around the fundamentals of umpiring the modern and fast paced game that we all enjoy playing today. Through upskilling our umpires, you will gain the confidence and skill set to umpire on your own or obtain new skills and techniques to improve your umpiring. We will be teaching the basics of umpiring which include positioning, correct whistle and how to use it, how to make the game as safe as possible and much more.

Please bring a hat, water bottle and your whistle if you have one. If you don't have one, they are available for purchase at the bar for $12 (highly recommended to buy this whistle as its the correct one to use for hockey).

A Subway lunch will be provided at the end, followed by a demonstration by 2 of our top umpires, Michael Scruth and Daniel Lavery. Norths vs Mines Men in a 2 x 20 minute half scratch match. Bar will be open and we can all observe how the pro's do it.
