Event information

Registration for this event closes at Thu 13 Feb 2025 21:00.

East Coast Roller Derby is an inclusive, fun, friendly Gold Coast-based roller derby league that welcomes members from linguistically diverse backgrounds, people with diverse abilities and people of all gender identities, aged 16 years and up (Parent and Guardian must be present for the duration of the session).

NEW TO ROLLER DERBY? No worries! We've got you sorted. We take skaters of all levels from beginner to advanced. We will teach you everything you need to learn to get you to bouting skater level.
We also welcome NON-SKATING members who are looking to get involved in our sport but are not too keen on strapping on skates.

TRANSFERRING SKATER? We'd love to have you on board! Just email us for more information about our transferring skater policy.

WHAT TO BRING? If you have skates and a helmet, please bring them. We have a limited supply of skates and safety gear available for you to borrow for the first few training sessions, but you will eventually need to purchase your own gear. Don't forget a water bottle and of course, a good attitude.

WHAT TO WEAR? Comfortable active wear, as we will be getting into skates and on track in the first session!

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST? $15 per session (including gear hire). Payment is required before the start of each session (once you become a member, you can pay your training fees monthly.) In addition to becoming a member, you will be up for a yearly membership fee of $50 and annual Insurance fee with Skate Australia (approx $120 annually).

CAN I TRY BEFORE I BUY? Yes! You can join us for 4 sessions before making a decision about signing up as a member.

QUESTIONS? Drop us an email at ecrollerderbyinc@gmail.com and we will answer any questions you may have about joining up.

We acknowledge and pay respects to the Yugambeh people, the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we train and compete.
