Event information
Race Week is aimed at members who want to try recreational racing. The program is open to all disciplines. Working closely with coaches and guides, your skills will be honed while you are introduced to race training.
Days on snow are Tuesday-Thursday.
Eligibility
To participate in Race Week you must be able to independently transfer from off snow to on snow and train and race on intermediate terrain without a guide (vision impaired excepted). During training you will be assessed for selection to enter each race. Selection will be undertaken by a DWA staff member or coach and will be based on your demonstration of the necessary skills to safely ski/ride the race courses.

All participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
DWA does not provide personal care staff or medical care staff on its programs. If you require personal or medical care assistance, please bring a family member, carer or friend.

How to register
- Apply for DWA Individual Membership
- Login to the website using the details emailed to you (check your junk mail or spam folder if it isn't in your inbox) and click 'Register' on the camp you want to attend
- Answer all relevant questions
- Under ‘Registration type’ select one ‘Participant’ and the applicable number for ‘Friend/family/carer’
- Submit registration and payment (if you pay by bank transfer remember to include the reference in your transaction)
Typical Program
Race Week is run in conjunction with the annual Australian Defence Force snowsports championships. DWA athletes will be racing on the same courses and integrated into their events. The training and racing schedule and course locations will be available at the beginning of the week, subject to conditions. As a guide, training and racing occurs Monday-Thursday.

Vision Impairment (VI) Guide
If you are a VI athlete and require a VI guide, please lets us know when booking. We will look to supply you with a guide for the week, however this can only be done subject to volunteer availability.
