This introductory clinic is designed for those new to adaptive snowsports and provides a diverse platform for you to spring into your adaptive snowsports guiding future. Our friendly trainers will provide motivation and support as you discover fundamental concepts of adaptive snowsports, the various disciplines, select disability groups and presentations, the vast array of adaptive equipment, and the amazing opportunities available to you as a DWA volunteer. Gain an insight into the adaptive snowsport industry, learn how to apply basic safety techniques, dive into some of the common language, and have an absolute blast with your fellow trainee guides as you enjoy this exciting course.

You need to complete two days of training.  Day 1 is Thursday 27 June 2024 and Day 2 is Saturday 29 June 2024.

Please note, you need to be a strong intermediate skier or snowboarder to be an adaptive snowsport guide. (EG at Mt Hotham, you must be able to make linked parallel turns down the Imagine ski run).

There is no charge for participating in the training course (apart from DWA associate membership), but you are responsible for any accommodation or transport to Mt Hotham.
