Event information
This introductory clinic is designed for those new to adaptive snowsports and provides a diverse platform for you to spring into your guiding future. Our friendly trainers will provide motivation and support as you discover fundamental concepts of adaptive snowsports, the various disciplines, select disability groups and presentations, the vast array of adapted equipment, and the amazing opportunities available to you as a DWA volunteer. Gain an insight into the adaptive snowsport industry, learn how to apply basic safety techniques, dive into some of the common language, and have an absolute blast with your fellow trainee guides as you enjoy this exciting course.
Unfortunately DWA doesn't have accommodation available, however please contact us if you need some suggestions about where to stay.
Please note, you need to be a strong intermediate skier or snowboarder to be an adaptive snowsport guide. (Able to make linked turns down Summit).
There will also be a 90 minute off snow evening session in Melbourne and online in the weeks leading up to the training.
