Guide and Equipment Request (Mt Hotham)
Tue 15 Mar 2022 00:00 — Fri 30 Sep 2022 00:00

Event information

This event has passed.

DWA is restarting in 2022 and rebuilding our guide pool. As a result, there may be some reductions on services. Please click here to check estimated guide availability every time you put in a request, as availability may change frequently. Please be aware that if you do lodge a request on a day that is shown to be "full", it is unlikely we will be able to find a guide/s.

Thank you for your understanding and patience as we re-establish services

YOUR BOOKING IS NOT FINALISED/GUARANTEED UNTIL YOU ARE CONTACTED BY ONE OF OUR RESORT SERVICES TEAM. REQUESTS ARE FILLED ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVED BASIS

Guide requests are usually filled by DWA volunteers and as such are subject to availability. Guide and equipment requests incur a service (or facilitation) fee.  Requests will be actioned in the order that they are received.

Facilitation fees have been frozen at last year’s prices for this year, and will be:

  • $79 - to request a guide only or equipment only (this excludes small accessories such as bibs and tip clamps)
  • $129 - to request a guide and sit-ski

Please select the relevant number of days you are requesting below.

Requests must be made at least 7 days in advance or a late fee may apply.

Conditions

  • Guide and Equipment requests must be lodged via the website.
  • If there are no volunteer guides available, we recommend booking a private adaptive lesson through the relevant snowsport school.
  • You must be a current member of DWA to submit a request. You can apply for membership here.

The NDIS requires DWA to use paid staff with NDIS participants at this stage. This means we will need to charge hourly rates for members who are using an NDIS package to pay for their DWA program. Please contact us about this.

More information

  • Please consult our weight policy if you are over 80kg as some restrictions in the services and equipment we are able to provide may apply. To find out more about our Sit Ski Weight Policy, please click here.
  • To find out more about what our adaptive snowsport guides can do, please click here or read our frequently asked questions.
  • To find out more about the different adaptive equipment available, please click here.

COVID-19 Policies

  • To better understand DWA's operational response to COVID-19, please visit our policies page to make sure you are properly prepared to enjoy the snow in a safe manner this year. These policies are under review and will be updated prior to the season, but these will give you a good idea of the overall approach we will take.
  • DWA will shortly be in touch with our members regarding potential vaccine mandate or RAT / PCR testing prior to attendance at some programs. We want to understand our member perspective as we formulate this new policy.
