Support / Recovery Vehicles
All competitors both car and motorcycle require a push / support / recovery vehicle and a team of at least one person to act as support for that competitor. Support vehicles and teams can be shared between competitors.
Push / Support / Recovery vehicles can be used by teams for a variety of activities on the Lake.
Typically can be used to push start a vehicle or provide starting equipment for a vehicle.
They can provide shade and supplies supporting the competition vehicle and the driver / rider at the startline.
They are also used for competition vehicle recovery at the end of a run.
Entrants cars can be pushed or towed with a rope or loaded onto a trailer.
Entrants motorcycles are not to be pushed or towed with a rope, they can be loaded onto a trailer or a hitch fitted to a tow bar.
Push vehicles must exit the track as soon as their vehicle is under way. DO NOTcontinue down the track, turn off and proceed on the designated support vehicle track.

NOTE: Speed limits: There are designated general access roads from the edge of the lake to the pits (60kph) and to the start line (60kph). And a special support vehicle track from the start line to the clearance flags (100kph and 60kph past the pits) Then there is a return road to the pits for entrant and support vehicles (100kph).
Support vehicles must use these roads only at all times on the comprtition area. See Track Layout Map.
Drivers of support vehicles are recommended to attend drivers and or rookies meetings at the start of each day to ensure they have the latest information.
Take the time to learn how to properly use a UHF radio. This is the means of communication between you and the Race Officals, make sure your radio is ON and tuned to Channel 10. Listen to the radio, in case your entry number is called for any reason. Do not leave the microphone on the seat where you can sit on it and go "open mic" as this will frustrate everyone and may earn you a yellow card, which is no more racing that day. Speeds will also be broadcast over Channel 10.
Support vehicles must be presented with the competition vehicle when it is undergoing it's Technical Inspection.
Support vehicles come in all shapes and sizes
