The month of March saw State Championships held around Australia. Our Member Groups were out in force, showing strength, teamwork and passion both on and off the water. It was amazing to see such a large contingent of BCP paddlers representing our incredible network of Dragons Abreast Australia Member Groups paddling over different categories. Pink Power Paddle Gold Coast 2025 The countdown is on for Pink Power Paddle Gold Coast 2025, and registrations are now open! Whether you're paddling as part of a team or joining as an individual, you are welcome to be part of this incredible experience. This event is more than just a regatta—it’s a chance to connect, compete, celebrate, and be inspired. With a range of activities both on and off the water, you’ll experience a weekend filled with paddling, camaraderie, and learning.

Welcome everyone to 2025, which brings with it new opportunities to paddle in all sorts of places, and meet all sorts of people. Update on the WDBRC We were all were thrilled to hear that the IDBF announced the inclusion of a BCP category in the upcoming World Dragon Boat Racing Championships, to be held in Brandenburg, Germany in July 2025. Despite extensive efforts and hard lobbying by DAA with AusDBF in support of the inclusion of an Australian BCP team, we have been informed by AusDBF that after careful consideration they have decided not to submit a BCP squad for the event. It's a Wrap What a fabulous weekend we had in Hobart for the latest instalment of the Pink Paddle Power Festival. Hosted brilliantly by Member Group Dragons Abreast Hobart Boobialla I am sure everyone who attended had a fabulous weekend. From the Welcome Drinks on Friday night, a regatta that ran as smoothly as the water we paddled on, a delicious dinner MC'd by our lovely Ambassador Robyn Moore, topped off with a social paddle on Sunday morning which saw five boatloads paddle under the Tasman
